So, I need a page on my website to only be accessible by clicking a link on my site. So, how do I make that page not be able to be accessed by just copying and pasting the link?

Or in other words: How do I hide the URL of a page on my website? Can I do this through GoDaddy? Or where can I do this? Thanks.

HTTP_REFERER is a good way of doing this..

Not every website or email program supports HTML formatting, which is necessary to support HTML code (the A HREF= code). If you want to paste your link into a messageboard forum or email, try a test (by emailing yourself or clicking "Preview" on a messageboard post) to see if the code turns into a link.

There are a lot of ways to bring traffic to your site. Three of the best ways are: 1) Article writing. Write an informative article on your topic. Try to submit an article once or twice a week to a directory such as Ezinearticles. Thousands of people may see your article, especially when it is posted in ezines or on Web sites. 2) News Release. Submit a news release every month for about six months. At the end of the release, tell about the benefits people get from your product or Web site. 3) Blog. Set up a free blog and post new content to it twice a day for about 10 days. After that, post new content once a day for another 10 days. Following this, post content every other day, etc. Be sure to tag and ping. The above three steps will bring you a lot of inbound links. You will no doubt get some from high PR sites. This is a sure-fire way to build traffic for the long term. amadeus

You could use frames to load the page without the url showing up in the browser's location bar. That's probably the easiest way. There are more complex method that do a more thorough job of hiding the url of the page, but that's the simplest one I can think of.

You might be able to look at the HTTP_REFERER for the page, and verify that it is your site. But it will probably be a leaky bucket.

The frames idea will fool a few people too, but it is easy to get around.

Just curious, what is it you are really trying to accomplish here? This kinda isn't the way the internet works. What is your goal?
