I got a new laptop and a free trial of microsoft office 2007 on it. Now I love it, and it would relay help me with my daughters home school (she is disabled and can not go to school), How can I get one for free? Or or can I use the product key on the bottom of laptop?

Not to burst your bubble, but you have to pay for Office 2007 to get the product key. You're only running a trial version, which is probably intended to show you around the basic features of the program. Getting a free product code for it would probably be considered software piracy since you didn't actually buy the software itself. You've only got a trial version right now, which is exactly what the title says...a -Trial- version of the software for you to evaluate it and see if you want to buy it. The product key on the laptop is used to help you find Drivers and System Software for your laptop if it's ever damaged, and things like that.

Can I suggest that you download OpenOffice 3.0.1 which is a completely free Microsoft Office compatible office software. Oh and you cannot use the code under your laptop, that's for the Windows XP/Vista serial code. If you want Office 2007, it'll cost you about a £100. My colleagues and I know better than to spend money on Microsoft when we can get something that's just as good for free.

That one on the bottom is your genuine Windows OS key that came with the laptop. try OpenOffice, they are almost identical MS2003 Office. Anyway the basic functionality is the same.
