I come through thousands of visitors each day and solve their problems. But other people who also have websites, try to copy my web design. Can you suggest anything that would stop others copy me.

YOU ARE INNOVATIVE AND GENIUS. THOSE PEOPLE WHO COPY OTHERS STYLE/DESIGNS/FORMATS/TEMPLATES CAN'T VISUALISE AS YOU CAN.

YOU CAN'T STOP THEM. IT IS UP TO THEIR CONSCIOUS.

Your site, while interesting, its core style is basically the same any thousands of others right now. Most sites are designed with the sidebar menu, nice header and a content section. I use the same basic design in several of my own sites.

The menu bar uses an interesting visual look but is this something you designed it was is provided by a package or vendor. The same for the background, very Matrix like but unless you created the actual graphic content it is not protected.

If you want to protect your own code you need to include comments and specific details in the raw HTML that identify you as the author and that you are reserving the rights to any original work. Adding a copy write note to the footer of the page helps as well.

In the end all of us as web developers end up using the existing body of work as inspiration for our own work. We all try to respect the rights of intellectual design but unless you can say that it is a straight copy/paste of your site then all you can do is take the flattery for what it is.

You could add a copyright message at the bottom. It might not help much but then again its obviously a public site. Lots of sites are constantly copied and you cant really stop them.

Why dont you just change your layout if you want to be unique? that could help.

If you have created it by your own, you should write copyright statement on each page saying that design is your copyright. No one else can copy/modify it. But if you already have copied from some template available on net. You can;t do that.

Hello. You've got a banner on the top, and links on the left side. Lots of sites look like that, including my own, and I've never seen your site before.

Can you give an example of a site you think is a duplicate of yours, where someone actually viewed the source code and just saved it?

Copying is the best form of flattery. The only thing you can do is may your wesite really ugly so that no one would take your style.

Actually, your background is copyrighted all ready, and is soley supposed to be used for a social network. Secondly, why copy it... IMO i dont like it.

first element i'd do is obvious the cache on your browser. the incorrect version of your internet site may be saved and needs to be cleared so your browser gets a sparkling replica of it. in case you alter the call of the .css record you will desire to be sure to alter the src characteristic interior the hyperlink tag in case you're utilising one to load the css record.
