How do I 'easily' make cascading menus for a web page?!?

I'm trying to make cascading menus, however I'm finding it hard to figure out. I've looked everywhere for code to copy and change but it's too much. Anyone have any help? JavaScript is fine to use.

there are 2 routes to cascading menus.

the css way and the javascript way.



but there is only one cool way to do the html! that's simple

inside

nested to 2 , 3 or 4 levels, then the css or js turns it into a menu!



I wrote cascading menus on a simple page in CSS alone. Then I discovered the same type code all over the internet! they all have 1 problem... same as mine,,, so they do need a little javascript.
