FTP is not a program anymore than email is a program. Thing is, it is a required aspect of getting your pages on the net. FTP (File transfer Protocol) is how your pages get onto the server. Without it, they don't become your web pages.

So, yeah...if you are having trouble with it, please post a question with details regarding the problems you're having and hopefully, someone will be able to help. You can message me if you like, so long as you can detail the problem in such a way that I may help you.

In laymans terms, FTP is no more than a "method" of putting or taking files off of a website that you administer.

It cannot edit HTML files.

If your problem is the transfer of HTML files to and from a website, try using the hosting site's Control Panel instead and use the File Manager.

Now for editing HTML files, (ie changing the web content) notepad can be used if you know how to code HTML. otherwise, try browsing the net for a program that does this specific task.

goodluck.

View, source then delete the html code in that. or you have got typed the perfect ingredient yet could have forgotten to close the tag or a minor spelling errors. verify it. sturdy success.

Right click the page. Hit "view source."

Then edit.
