im using SQL Server Express 2005
and i made a VB Net Program

my problem is i cant acceess the sql database when i use the program from other pc
and im using windows authentication to access the sql server

i already switched the remote connections to "tcp/ip and named pipes" through surface area configuration.

what should i do? do i need to switch to sql server authentication mode to access it from other pc or theres still a way to access it through windows authentication?

thanks

with sql express I had to turn on remote connections to the database before it would let me connect. There is also a adobd error with vb.net that you might need to install an addtional piece of software C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules\vs90_piaredist.exe

sure, you could truthfully get right of entry to sq. Server with Hypertext Preprocessor. Or Java or C++ or regardless of. it somewhat is rather a rely of what language you like. Hypertext Preprocessor is in all probability a solid selection in case you like a cyber web web site interface. in case you like a domicile windows utility, you could evaluate seen difficulty-loose.
