when i click on something to change my page or go to a new site it takes about 3 minutes it just started this bout a couple of weeks ago. Is this my internet connection or something wrong with my computer? I recently started using firefox which sped it up a little and i was using windows. Do you think i have a virus? Anyway to speed it up? Sometimes do have slow internet.

There could e two reasons. Your internet connection could e slow. But this is only applicable if it is only slow when you are usig a browser ( Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Babylon, etc...) if the computer is slow as well when you want to close a program, want to close a page, etc..., it could mean three things: either you need to update your BIOS version to the latest one( I can't give a link to do it because it depends on what computer you have), it could also be that you don't have enough internal memory( RAM): but this only applies if you rarely switch your compter off. And thirdly, your computer could've been infected by a virus: in which case you'll want to download the latest version of an antivirus ( Kaspersky, Norton Security, MSE, Windows defender, etc...)

To find out which one it is, eliminate the wrong solutions by following the criteria given above

Good luck

If you don't manage after all of this, send your computer to a technician

ok so here are some things to try- check your connection speed, if it's more than 60mbps- that's not the problem. go to internet options and delete the inter net folder . then check your anti virus software. .update it and then run it. then check your firewall. or if you didn't install one, do that. set it to medium to medium high.

lastly defrag the hard drive. this is under systems. analyse the drive first. it will tell you if it needs to defrag . if it says to defrag, turn off sleep/ hybernation options and defrag. this can take anywhere from 2-15 hours.

I'd say you have a virus/ram hog. Try running a full scan with and up to date version of an anti-virus.
