This seems a big task but keep at it - even if this does not work the skills you learn you can take to other projects.

So how would this work - a personal sign in and the I can upload revision schedule -

I think thats a good idea but then what/how to make it.

vbulletin board are good but you have to pay - would a yahoo group be good just as a start they have calenders on then now.

I think you would need a bunch of different skills - php and web design as well to do this from scratch.

but also before all this survey around and ask kids what they would want and use - I think thats the best way forward

html, css and php should be a walk over if your into C++ considering PHP is derived from the C language.

Depends if you want to do it yourself or have online software to work with Notepad++, Dreamweaver along those lines WAMP for a server for PHP to run along those lines web development involves many technologies I'd be happy to help you out if you want with further details on software get in touch.

Using python with the django web server is a good start. You'll need a databases plus probably some JavaScript. Ambitious but possible if you stick at it.

Raysor has referred to the products of the puzzle you want to practice your plan and suggested some examining fabric. once you may talk your theory, you'd be able to cutting-edge it to skill traders (in case you want them). until eventually you grow to be attentive to the products, you gained't somewhat recognize what you want. you should artwork on the "elevator pitch" on your theory. you'll prefer to talk your theory in 30 seconds or a lot less - about the time think about in case you've been using the elevator with a a chance investor. yet another element to think about is a low value prototype of the positioning. Yahoo (and others) furnish techniques to create web content that require no programming (i.e., html). See the link below in the source section to study more beneficial about the Yahoo

Since websites aren't created from python or c++, You may want to look into php/MySQL solutions. There are content management systems such as Joomla that may do what you want and you can find places where they host and install them for free.

Use HTML forms to pass info to PHP and fish the sections of guidance and deliver them into HTML layouts.

You can also research "what is a print friendly layout?"

You should look at open source LMS scripts (learning management systems) such as Moodle: https://moodle.org/ or do a google search for open source LMS.

No point in re-inventing the wheel!

Yeah phyton and C++ are not web programming...

if you want, you can try ruby n rails or PHP/HTML/JavaScript/MySQL.. since you already have programming background, learning the above languages shouldn't be a problem. good luck!
