1) Easiest programming language is BASIC by far. Ive used it since I was 14

2) Liberty BASIC is the best for programming. I have made anti-virus software with it, Ive made viruses for testing my AntiVirus programme and I have made web browsers... Heres a link > www.libertybasic.com

3) Well as I have said I've been using it since I was 14 and it took me only like 2 weeks to understand the basics and as you get on, your knowledge becomes more advanced.

4) www.libertybasic.com... If you want to download my AntiVirus for just a bit of inspiration visit www.crystal-av.co.uk

I hope this helps you mate

best of luck, James

1) Well BASIC is very easy to learn, but it would be better to learn C++ because BASIC isn't used much any more. It's a very old language.

2) dev-c++ is a good piece of software for writing and compiling C++ programs - get it here: http://www.bloodshed.net/devcpp.html

3) It depends how far you want to take it. It takes longer to learn a language if you've never done it before, so maybe it'll take you a couple of weeks to a month to pick up the basics of C++, but if you know other languages already then it takes less time, maybe a week, maybe only a couple of days. It can take years to master a language though.

4) http://www.learncpp.com/ is a good place to start.

BASIC was the first language I learned.

Then PASCAL and COBOL, FORTRAN, PL/1, and x86 assembler.

Then it was IBM/360 assmebler, C, Modula-2, then C++.

That was all before 1990. ;)

I can tell you that BASIC was the simplest. It was designed to be a teaching language - meant to be your first computer language.

You should be able to learn a good amount of BASIC in 40 hours or less. C++ would take FAR longer than that because it is based on advanced concepts (it's object-oriented) that you would need to understand before you got very far with it.

BASIC has no really advanced concepts. BASIC was designed before Object-oriented was a concept. ;) (20 years before!!!)

I would start you off with BASIC because of its simplicity - but you can still do quite a bit with it. Once you know BASIC, learning C or C++ would be much easier.

Good luck!
