I have got a free domain from a site , my domain registration is not yet completed because i just registered it today , now they are giving me domain name and hosting for free , so my question is after the free term expires do i have to pay for the domain name and also hosting or i have to only pay for hosting ? Is domain name once issued have to be re - subscribed after particular period of time or only hosting is to be re subscribed?
If only hosting is to be re subscribed and my domain name is for life time then i can switch to any free hosting sites ! Really confused pls help

You will have to pay for hosting only.

For Domain and Hosting both after expiration, You will have to re-new both for 1-Year or more than that.

So whenever you get a free domain for 1-Year then you should understand that you will have to rest of the year, if you want to avail the benefit from this domain.

You will have to pay for both Hosting and Domain, after the free term has expired.

There is a choice provided for renewal, at the time of expiration. Either to go for an annual renewal or a long term renewal.

In the UK the way these contracts work is after a set period of time your free trial expires and you are automatically signed over to a contract. That way the companies can get money out of you if your not vigilant.

What you pay for is down to the contract you sign the company may be willing to pay for your domain although I doubt it.

Domain name registration means that you have the sole legal right to use that domain name for the period of the registration.

Domain name hosting means that your host ensures that your domain name web page and e-mails work properly.

You have to pay for both.

Read your terms of service. This is the only way to know what is going to happen.
