I want to make a website... using HTML... need help!!! :)?

Question

I was thinking of making a site like facebook.. The problem is that im in 8th... so i only know HTML, but not Java... i want to make a site, which fulfills the basic needs like posting on a common wall... and so that people can register to my site.... i wanted to know.. whether all that is possible using HTML.. and also.. using box for posting... how can i actually post the thing the user wants to say? i mean... that when i make a site at home... and make a kind of query box... and put on the submit button... how do i enable it to post it somewhere? how to i link pages? do i need to know java etc. for that? and also.. how to host it onlyn... and control the traffic etc.... cause when i make it at home.. i am not able to post anything... like i write ABCD and den press Submit.. nothing happns... i know why it dosent... but i need assistance to tell me how to actually link it, the codes to submit etc. etc. i hope u get it... cause i dont like using free site making sites like Webs... :( :P

Web Sites like Facebook cannot be made with only HTML. You need to have various languages for that. You cannot put constraints (i.e. you cannot lay down the rules) on the fields in your web pages with only HTML. You need to have Java, XML and many other to do that. As far as the linking is concerned, you can do that without java but the address you set in your code should be valid or you could try making another web page & putting its address in the submit form. But you need to have the knowledge of database to store the info.

I suggest you to use wordpress for such a dynamic website. You can use the buddypress theme or some other plugins required for your website to post the messages on the wall or group discussions

yes, html is not enough. you have to combine between html as display code, php as parser, mysql as database, css as style, javascript as code for interact with browser.
