This is a long story so ill make it brief. So i got a game programming job for a small game company and mymom is sooo over protective. I was in a skype call with the 3d modeler and my mom told him in skype that he is a 40 year old pedo looking for child porn, hes my age 13 and i almost got fired.. I was programming for 6 hours straight and she told me that i couldnt use the computer for 4 days because 1 am is too late to be staying up. And she took my laptop and my desktop away from me, i told her NOT to touch a thing on my laptop because i had code for a full mini rpg on it and on her way down the stairs she "accidently" dropped the laptop and i lost the files. And now whenever im in a skype call with me project leader and my graphic designers she yells into the mic Blake! When i click paste a whole bunch of code is here! Which makes my team distrust me, i might get fired from my job because of her. I NEED HELP!!

A legitimate software company won't hire 13-year-olds, not because they can't program, but because they cannot legally sign binding contracts, and contracts are necessary for management of intellectual-property rights, payroll, etc. So the mere fact that they hire you is a sign that they cannot be trusted. Unfortunate but true. I doubt that they are pedophiles, but they certainly aren't Electronic Arts or Microsoft, either.

You should repost this in "family & relationships" section if you haven't already...

anyways, if I were you I'd show her my work, and tell her I have fun doing it, I'd also try to gain her trust and talk to her, tell her you know she's trying to protect you but at one point you'll grow up and there won't be anyone to protect you anymore.

If after all this she still doesn't want to listen, take your laptop and either go to your friend's house or maybe a coffee shop or a restaurant, somewhere that has free wifi and security and stop talking to her until you get paid, then show her your paycheck like a boss!

She will get mad because you disobeyed her, but she'll be proud of you in he inside and she won't show it of course.

One more thing are our parents divorced? How does your father react to having a genius son? maybe he'll back you up or if they're divorced you can spend some time with him and do your work.

And don't forget to apologize to your employers for the inconvenience

Sorry for your dilemma. I'd be proud of my son if he got a programming job at 13.

This isn't really a programming question, it's a question about parenting and dealing with parents. You ought to repost this question in Family and Relationships where you'll probably get many quality answers. Good luck.

You should consider using a remote private repository to store your code in. BitBucket offers some free plans, GitHub makes you pay for private; both have the option of locking out users without the proper RSA key pair.

Tell her to let her baby out of the nest, and if all else fails,

A) get a padlock and lock itself in your room,

Or

B) go to a friends house
