How can i add an email program to my computer?

Question

I don't have outlook or any other email program directly from my computer. But i do have a gmail account. I'd like to know if i can set it up that when i press an email address on a site this message wont come up, it would directly use my gmail account. (the message: there is no email program associated to perform the requested action, please install an email program, or if one is already installed, create an association in default programs control panel)

Please help me, Thanks in advance.

I recommend downloading Google Apps which contains an email application for Gmail. Then when installing set the application as your main email program through the wizard. From then on, it should automatically open up the program to Sartre writing an email to the clicked email address

Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail is already installed with the OS.

IncrediMail does the set up for you once you put in the Incoming/Outgoing mail servers. I have 7 accounts with GMail and they all are set up for my email program to go get the emails and sort them in the folders I have set. Use the email rules for this type of sorting.
