errors in installing .net framework?

Question

i need to install sql server.
for that i ve to install .net framework
on intalling .net 3.5, i m getting d error msg as
"the procedure entry point heapsetinformation link could not be located in dynamic library kernel32.dll


help me plzzz.

According to MS documentation, heapsetinformation is found in the version of kernel32.dll in Windows XP or Vista (for clients) or Windows Servers 2003 or 2008.



In fact those are the installation requirements for .net 3.5. I'm suspecting that you're attempting to install the framework on an earlier nonsupported version of windows, say Windows 2000 or Server 2000. Won't work, although it's strange that they didn't check OS version at the beginning of the install.

hmm, this is just a guess, goto internet option > advanced tab > tick both disable script debugging, its near the top under browsing
