This could be a number of problems, this often happens when people copy text from thrid party software i.e. copying text from microsoft word into the RSS feed. This is a problem with the websites feed and not your computer.
To get a detailed report try checking http://feedvalidator.org/ and enter the URL of the feed to get a breakdown of the error. You should also forward this error to the people responsible for editing and sending out this RSS feed. And perhaps advise that before they publish an RSS feed they check the compatibility with the link i have given above.

Warning: MagpieRSS: Failed to parse RSS file. This means the RSS feed you're trying to parse contains an invalid character. Some RSS parser are based on regular expressions, and can parse invalid RSS but they have their own problems.
