Do you know of any good books regarding E-Commerce development?

Question

I'm trying to learn how the guys do this sort of site development I have my design but the more I think
about the code the more I confuse myself. So I am looking to see the best books around that would help me to learn and build my own e-commerce website.

I want to learn purely for learning reasons its not to build a public e-commerce site. I mean if anyone here knows how to do this thing how did you learn it? Just fiddling books online etc.

But mainly my question is aimed at knowing books I can buy that would help me.

By the way I'm not a novice in web all together I understand PHP partially and am wanting to push myself in the area to learn things that would benefit me on a job front.

Look into the book: PHP & MySQL Everyday Apps by Janet Valade. It's a dummies book, but I really enjoy them because they are loaded with great information. I have two books by Janet Valade, but this one teaches about eCommerce and object oriented programming. It also comes with a CD that contains full scripts of all apps in the book coding in procedural and OO php.



Just a heads up, she writes her books using MySQLi, so make sure your server has the Improved extension installed. If you have PhpMyAdmin, it'll tell you if you do on the main viewing page (Where you create a new database).

So you expect Catholics to single handedly save the world? Let's face it, we're ALL not doing everything we can do to help children of starving nations (Africa isn't the only one and btw they majority of people in Ethiopia are not starving, yes they have had famine in the past but that is largely a stereotype). And by the way, I'm Catholic and I went to Cambodia last year through a non religous organization and volunteered to teach English to children of the slums as well as helping out in an orphanage.
