I have searched many places but not upto the mark templates available anywhere.
If any of u have any suggestions regarding where I can get very good templates, it would be of great help.
I have also thought of making a template design of my own,so suggestions on this are also appreciable. But this may take time, so this can only be done if I get time once the more important parts are accomplished.
Thank you all.

Here is a 2 step process

1) Download Opencart or Magento - It's free

2) By Template from www.themeforest.com

I personally would make it myself, since you will always be able to get results closer to what you really want. I take it you already know HTML and CSS, so I would recommend that you learn either ASP.NET or PHP as a server side language for processing the product requests and basket and the like as well as obviously SQL for databasing.
