1. Find a shape you want and convert it to a selection. For example:
A. Custom Shape Tool (Press U). Click the arrow next to the Shape box in the upper toolbar to see all of the default shapes. Pick one and then draw it on a layer. Make sure the 2nd icon, Paths, in the upper left toolbar is highlighted so that the shape is a path.
B. Go to the Paths palette (Window/Paths) and convert the path to a selection by clicking the 3rd icon on the bottom (Load path as a selection).
2. Now you should have a "marching ants" selection visible. Reverse the selection by clicking Ctrl + Shift + I.
3. Highlight the layer with your picture. Cut out the outer area, Ctrl + X. Your picture should be inside the shape.
Whew. Lot of work. There are probably easier ways.
Good luck.

hi, What you're able to do is create layers. A layer in photoshop is like like aspects (self reliant aspects). Layers is provided so as of visual attraction (real point) case in point, - shoes - Pants - blouse - physique or on your occasion. - shape - image as a result, the form is ONTOP of the image. So what do you need to do? it quite is comparatively easy for a beginner to verify. You create 2 layers. the 1st layer ought to be referred to as shape. And the 2d layer ought to be referred to as image. You PASTE your image contained in the 2d layer, and additionally you create your shape contained in the 1st layer. once you write on the 1st layer, you are able to locate that it quite is protecting ontop of the image. So technically you are able to draw any shape you like, and make the midsection section empty. attempt it :) it quite is fairly relaxing and funky. solid success
