I received an executable JAR file which is a game. Is there anyway I can view the underlying program? That is, can I read the Java script that was used to create it? This would help me with a project I'm currently stuck on. Thanks.

A Jar file contains Java, not JavaScript, which is different. Java is used to program computers, while JavaScript is just used on webpages. A jar file is simply a compressed archive file, which can be uncompressed with most uncompression utilities. However, most likely the archive will only contain the compiled files and not the source code. If you're lucky, it will, if not, you'll have to ask the creator for it.

No. Java is a compiled language just like C or Pascal except it's compiled into something which is called "bytecode" which is similar to machine language only it's for the "Java Virtual Machine" rather than a real microprocessor. Now, you may be able to find a decompiler for Java which will translate bytecode back into something like Java, but it won't be the same as the original source code. There is a scripting language called Javascript, used on web pages that you can view, but it's not the same thing as Java. In summary, you can't view the underlying code in a compiled Java application except maybe with a decompiler.

you may desire to make an executable from a type record?? ok, what you do is open the command instantaneous. and because you have created the java undertaking your self, you of course understand the place your undertaking is placed. So, flow to the perfect itemizing. Which record has your considerable type? on the command instantaneous type here java area and after the area type the call of the record that has the main type. ( do no longer incorporate a dot or any extension ). ( do no longer type interior the letters s , p , a , c, e. I meant positioned an area there ) ok, now you have your executable. To execute the undertaking you're able to now would desire to type the call of the record that had the main type on the command instantaneous. ( back without dot and no extension ).
