I'd personally go with 1 of the top 3: startlogic, bluehost, or hostgator. It all depends on what you think is the most important? If its customer service go with bluehost, if its an all rounder: start logic, hostgator is the webmasters favouriteand has a lot of features.

If your blog is successful, meaning you get 100's of visitors a day, download "cache" plugins so that the sever won't be as slow. If you blog is indeed successful upgrade to a better hosting plan. perhaps get a dedicated server.
