I have a presentation about database comparison (Visual Foxpro vs open source database). I found that Visual Foxpro has some security issues, so I need to convince the audience that open source is better to implement. Can anyone tell me what is the best database in security aspect?

Visual FoxPro is obsolete. How secure it is or isn't is irrelevant.

Just because a proprietary database is insecure doesn't mean an open source solution is better. MySql is open source, MSSql is not. Both or very secure. Convincing someone that an open source database is better than a proprietary database on the grounds of security is going to be a very hard sale, and I rather doubt it can be done.

You need to find another reason open source is better than proprietary.

They all have security vulnerabilities. Choose the system that is supported and performs well best for your needs.
