I want to get a couple of the individual pictures out of the exe file to use as wallpaper on my desktop, but I can't seem to get the files out. I have tired a couple of disassemble programs to no avail. I want to be able to put the pictures in another file. Perhaps a powerpoint or just a bitmap. Any suqqgestions.

the picture is not "in" the .exe code. It is likely in a .res (resource) file and there are apps out there to open them. like vb.net etc..

Also just check the folder that contains the application for image files .jpg, .bmp, .tiff etc..

The answer provided by webjnke1 is the easiest way. But if you want to do this kind of task many times, download "resource hacker" from www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/

This will let you modify menubars, images, buttons, dialog boxes, etc for most 32 bit windows exe applications

when the pic is showing that you want. Hit "print screen", then go paste it in paint. There you can convert it to a bitmap or jpeg or whatever, after that you could edit it in a photo editor.

if you install it you should get a folder where all the data on it will be save to, go into that folder and sift through it and take what ya want...
