Is there a website where i can get images from to use on a website freely?

I work for a website and require images for use everyday. Is there any site that provides free images that are not copyright protected and you don't have to ask permission to use them?

Basically, there are no free meals. Unless you find a photograph that's specifically for "public domain use", someone can sue you for using it.



I've met some people that were harassed by "image cops" - companies that spread pictures for alleged free use, then track people who use them and press charges. A bad option, if you ask me.



Try looking up some royalty-free images. Both Fotolia and 123RF are known to sell pics for cheap prices, legally.

There are many. some are better than others. Some have photos, some have line art. Most are organised by subject matter.
