I have limited but improving web design skills and I want to create and upload several websites for my wife's business, to help generate sales leads for her.

I have already purchased the domain names and will be using either FrontPage or Dreamweaver to create the sites ... how do I go about uploading the sites and can anyone offer any advice on multi-domain hosting?

Of course it doesn't matter where you're located. You'll get much better deals if you pick a US host.

For hosting multiple sites I recommend Dreamhost http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html

They're the best, I host over 20 sites on a single account:

1. You get a free domain from them (actually 2 if you use the promo code, more about that later)

2. They have 500 GB of Disk Space

3. 5TB (5000 GB) of Bandwidth

4. You can use their huge Disk Space and host unlimited number of sites on a single account.

5. Their price is $119.40/year ($9.95/month if you pay yearly)

6. Which is a pretty standard price but they currently have a promotion:You can use the Promo Code: PLUS (at sign up page) and get a $50 discount + 2 Free Domain Names

7. This way you get them for $69.40/year ($5.78/month)

No doubt you will be snowed under with advice and choosing won't be easy, I know as I have gone through all that myself in the last 3 months.

IX are what I found to be the best out there: http://webhosting.moneysavecenter.com

They will host you unlimited domains/subdomains etc but the best part of it is they'll give you 8 different IP addresses.

Nobody does that, so if you are trying to rank on the engines then this is the only place that does that for $8 a month. They don't have C Panel and that was my main stumbling block at first so I tried them last but their panel is better than C panel, there are way more tweaking possibilities, it's to do with the IPs that you can choose to share or not. They have a demo on their site.

Whoever you go for, remember that just about everyone will offer you a 30 days money back guarantee so don't be afraid of using it.

I asked for my money back about 5 times in a month with as many companies, as soon as I realized there was something majorly wrong, you know, like 3 hours to FTP a 15mbs site or a home page that took 3 minutes to load, things like that.

For the money, IX are unbeatable, try them first.

BTW, you upload the sites using FTP, I know of no other way, unless you go one file at a time with file manager.

Well as long as your host supports multiple domains, you just need to point the namesevers

Hostmonster gives you a free domain name with your account and lets you host as many more domain names as you could possibly want on the same account for no extra charge (you still have to pay for the extra domain names themselves, but nothing extra to put them on the account).

The customer service is great and the feature list is great too.

This review has lots of great information about them:
