too many fonts on computer, what can i delete?

this message showed up on my comptuer when i went to open a program from the tasks launcher

Are there certain fonts I shouldn't delete??

That list of fonts is pretty good so I wont repeat what has already been said BUT if you want to keep your fonts AND carry on running your pc as normal here's my advice.



Create copies of some of your non-windows-default fonts and zip them up so you have them stored on your computer (in my documents or whatever). Then you can delete them from the windows>fonts folder (which uninstalls them).



they will no longer show up in programs like word but if you ever need a specific font you can always put it back in the font folder to "re-install" it



Now you don't have to lose any fonts :-)

Yeah, if you install a lot of fonts you can really slow down your system...

You should not need to delete any fonts. Have you tried to reinstall programs that may be the culprit of this error message ?
