Question:
Does MS Access have a "text to column" delimit function like excel does?

I have a large data set(200k lines) that needs multiple delimited breakdowns. After first importing and separating by csv filters, I'm unable to do further delimit separation. Access won't let me do more and 1 field delimit at a time, so I'm stuck.

Why not:

Use Excel anyway. Your 200K records will have to be split into three or four separate tables: you can use Access for that and export to Excel.

Do your text to column splitting in Excel using that feature. Make sure that columns have identical headers in each of hte sheets

Import each table back into Access

MS Access 2003 and below do not have an automatic field splitter like the Text to Column function in Excel. It has wizards to split tables and databases but not fields.

To breakout data in an Access field based on a delimit character, you would need to write VBA code.
