Yes. All that you did in the options menu, was to configure the visual studio development environment. This will have no effect on the code itself. Visual studio 2005 incorporates the .NET framework into all of the components and codes. This functionality drives visual studio, and won't change depending on your development layout.

the VB theme layout just means that the IDE will use commands common and familliar to VB developers where possible. You still choose wether you will create a project using C# or VB.NET and of what type ie: Web Service, Custom control etc.

Visual Basic...really? ewww. Try C#, the skills and syntax transfer really nicely for Java or Java Script development and the code is less verbose and easy to read. This comes from someone who started life as a VB3, 4, 5 and 6 developer and coded visual basic in ASP. I can't think of going back to it now

i could basically bypass immediately to VS2008. With 2005 you will already be one version at the back of and are available next March with the launch of VS2010 you would be 2 variations at the back of. in case you nonetheless are not particular acquire the loose exhibit version of VB.internet from Microsoft. For internet progression you could acquire seen internet Developer exhibit for loose. in case you do no longer make plans on springing up professionally the explicit variations must be greater then sufficient.
