when you format this is removing everything out of your computer with new drivers it is very complicated to do as well as explain. place your windows in your dvd burner and reboot your computer when you see your windows logo start taping f12 at the top of your keyboard. boot from usb cdrom or just cdrom and start taping any key you will see a scan begin stop taping when you get to install go ahead and install your product key is in your windows case when they ask for it. now you come to your partitions highlight them and hit advance and delete them it will say unallocated space. now hit next your windows will install when it is done then pull out that disk and place your resource disk or tune up diskette in your dvd burner. now place your drivers in one at a time so if they ask you to reboot then pull your disk out but remember where you left off and reboot when you get back on then place your disk back in and go to the next driver. now when you have all of the drivers in then go to control panel there hit updates and install all of your updates. now go when all of them are installed then right click a bare place on your desktop and scroll down to personalize go to icons place the icons that you want on your desktop and hit apply. exit back to your desktop and right click MY COMPUTER hit properties scroll down to you have three days to register your windows double click and register online. then tweak your computer the way that you want it now if you have windows 8 this is a lot more complicated so ask how do your install windows 8 and I will answer your question or one of my many friends will it is best to take your computer tower with all of your software and ask a computer repairman to do it for you as I say it is very complicated. good luck I hope I was helpful to you

If this is on a Windows PC just right-click on the file, select "open with" and select Notepad. It should just be a plain text file.

Alternatively rename the file to .txt and edit it, then rename it to .sample when finished.

You're saying you want to "read it" so I'm assuming it's a text file? If so, click start, and in the search bar type in "show or hide file extensions". Make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked, and then rename the file to what ever you want, but put .txt after it.
