As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

They are a Multi-awarded Web Hosting which offer a Full-featured service only $6.95. You can see their Plan Details accompanied with reliable reviews regarding their service at:

Here I have copied and pasted its features from their website to view:

They also offer "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get) You can use this service optionally.

If you want a great ressource to learn web design, I stongly recommend the following book - best $27 I have ever spent! It teaches the RIGHT way to design web pages with standard compliant XHTML and CSS. Reading this book changed my life, I was designing professional web pages in less than a week!

The book is called 'Head First XHTML and CSS' - here is a link to it with some reviews:

Presentation with CSS.

Optionally JS or a server side language, depending on your needs.

If you don't know where to start maybe try using something like microsoft word or wordperfect. These are desktop programs for setting up text and pictures but can also save to web pages. It is not the best way to make a page but they will let you see what the might look like.

Your first step in the website creation process is to determine why and what you want to make. If you want something fancier use some of the web page builders. The ones that say wyswig are the easiest to use. Then you can put your pages on the internet by uploading your pages.

Lanquage depends on what you want your site to do and how you want it to look. The simplist sites to use are the free sites because they have templates and tools to use that make the task easy.

But if you want to learn and inprove your skills, you can start with a basic html editor and go from there.

I use frih.net, there is a forum with tips on building web pages.

Hope this has helped you.

I wish your intention of learning How to create a website is not an impromptu day dream.

May be you should try if you like it or not first. Discover if you really like to learn how to code or design a functional website then start from reading HTML and learn the basic coding knowledge.

At the same time read the complete guide on "online business creation" http://www.extra-income-seeker.com/ and learn more about the theory of a website. The book said "online business " but it doesn't matter, it is written for beginners. You don't have to pay for the book.

Wish this information helps.
