My principal asked me to take charge of our school's web-site. There is one already in place, but it hasn't been changed in a couple years. The person who created it has moved out of state. And we do not have a computer specialist at out school. I have some computer skills but very basic... What do I do now? Where should I start? I know nothing of building, creating, or maintaining a web-site.

I do my webpage with Microsoft Front Page...it is easy and not too hard to understand. FTPing it over takes more skill.....and even that isn't that difficult. But it does take time to learn it....but it isn't hard. I taught myself. Front page has templates you can use ...but I do mine from scratch.

There are also tons of help online

Easiest answer would be to find a parent, alum, student or staff person who knows how do do this.

It will take a pretty significant amount of time to edit any kind of website to make it look good.

If it's not too complicated, and you're at a private school (non-profit) send me an e-mail. I have room in my schedule for such a project.

Tell him right away. I'm sure some of the kids can do it. Maybe there's a project there.
