Why does the site I created trigger that annoying ActiveX approval?

I created a basic website and I can't show it to anyone without first approving the little activex window in internet explorer -
Is there something I can do to avoid that?

Active X is a MS proprietary set of functions, and it is not in conformity with W3C recommendations. No browser worth this name supports Active X, i.e. Netscape, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, etc.
I think you got a very healthy reminder that IE is NOT the kind of browser you really want to use to show your websites at their best. Review your web pages and try to remove ALL references to ANYTHING having to do with Active X, and start doing some serious work on what you can do using Java applets. You'll spare yourself a lot of time and frustration.

Because it's full of annoying ActiveX controls perhaps? Get rid of them, and you should be ok.
Chances are you've been using FrontPage, which inserts ActiveX for everything, even where plain HTML would do. Forms are a great example - FrontPage will give you ActiveX buttons instead of pure HTML buttons for some reason known only to the idiots at Microsoft...

remove activex control and stick to straight html/css.
