Best Place to host a website/get own domain name!?

Question

I am going to build a website, now that i know php, java, html and xml


But I a place where I can host this website, is there any great providers that you guys know of

I might need at least 15GB storage, as I will have picture, video, and music on my website.

I would like it to be a .COM site, with my own custom domain name

Any Suggestions.. Besides Godaddy.com

It depends on what you want to accomplish.



I use a few.



If you want to get a site with all the tools to create a simple yet highly ranked site, there are a few that cost about $25-30 per month. One I know of has unlimited bandwidth. I know people will say it is impossible. However, one of my colleagues on putting up a site on a new popular product hit 7,000 visitors within a week of getting the site up. It kept growing from there.



She only pays the same amount I pay per month.



Here is the catch. No PHP, Pearl, flash, etc.



So do you want value, cheap or high quality traffic to turn into customers. How many visitors do you hope to have. What is your purpose? Do you want to monetize? These will allow for a more educated answer.



Oh yeah, don't make the mistake one of my students did. She went and registered an otherwise obscure domain name to find out it was a trademarked name. You find out when you get the cease and desist letter. This is usually after you get the site built, up and running.
