Vista blocks all programs that do not have the "Run as Admin" set in properties. You can go to Start and type in msconfig and then go to Start tab. Uncheck the box to have regedit start at boot up.

Some body has block some programs that are run when windows start, most of these programs are only hogs of memory, because you only need there some programs from windows, antivirus, firewall, antiespy all the rest it is garbage, and you Start, they have a litle box there you type msconfig and press enter, and it will take you to the system properties, there check everithing then go to Startup folder and there see witch programs are run in there, the ones you do not need take the mark off and set in selective mode, then close and restart your PC, and in microsoft they have free tools like Ccleaner to help you to clean the registry.

I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The best PC cleaner and antivirus program is PC Health Boost, it's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate.

It's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than nomal. Download it here for free: http://www.pcboostsoftware.com

For some reason, registry editor is try to run at startup and vista is blocking it. It's not normal for registry editor to run at startup. Here's a page that explains how you can see everything that runs at startup in Vista, maybe you can use this information to disable whatever is doing this?

it somewhat is common chum. in basic terms open RUN command and type REGEDIT and click proceed to grant permission after which you have Registry Editor suited in front of you. Shortcut key for RUN command - domicile windows key + r i'm hoping this facilitates you.
