web making is not as difficult as people thinks.

the website is made up of markup language.

u need to learn the language 'html'.

this not difficult and easy to learn.

it is most neccesary thing to learn u can learn it completely at

http://w3schools.com

u can make dymatic websites by learning other languages like php, asp, javascript etc.

thats not neccesary. This is the next thing,

u can built webpages with softwares like frontpage or dreamveaver were u don't need to type html codes.

then u need a web domain and web hosting.

which u can get anywhere while searching on net.

Get a Free sub domain and web hosting on

http://www.awardspace.com

Or u can buy for 7$ at

http://domain.com

then u need a ftp program for uploading.

The most necessary thing is u should name ur homepage as index.htm or index.html.

if feel any problem then contact me nonu_sargun@yahoo.com

The great thing about making a website is that you can start by making a static website and get all the way into some server-side programming without spending any money (except maybe a few hundred on books).

The first step is learning HTML, and relative links.

The next step is understanding CSS and then

Javascript.

if you're still interested after all that, you may want to quickly learn XML and XSLT. Most people don't, but it is really neat when you get that far.

The last step is starting a server-side language. There are a few to choose from, most people start with PHP and SQL. Until this point, you won't even need to set up a webserver. You can still set up a webserver for free, however it won't be secure. Check http://www.wampserver.com for an easy install.

the other server-side languages are

Java - JSP, JSF, Servlets, Portlets

ASP.NET - C#.net VB.net COBOL.NET J.NET (there's even an assembly.net, but it's more of a joke than a language)

PERL

ColdFusion

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

They are a Multi-awarded Web Hosting which offer a Full-featured service only $6.95. You can see their Plan Details accompanied with reliable reviews regarding their service at:

http://www.threehosts.com/reviews/1st

Here I have copied and pasted its features from their website to view:

- Free Domain Forever

- Unlimited Space

- Unlimited Transfer

- 2,500 POP/Imap Email Accounts

- SSH (Secure Shell), SSL, FTP, Stats

- Front Page Extensions

- Free Site Builder

- 24/7 Superb/Responsive Sales/Support

- Free Search Engine Submission

They also offer "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get) You can use this service optionally.

******IMPORTANT*******

well i do think it would be hard if u don't know how to build up a website and never had been tought. i'v been tought and i'm happy with what i had progressed, but like many of my friends and students learing GCSE ICT don't know anything about desinging a website, i know it's a hard job but i mean the mistakes they do are quite silly and they get really angry about the website not working proparly. and then they call me for help and i'm the one who has to fix the problem. i mean the problem is like easy. i just ask them...

"did u save the pictures"

the would answer "No"

and they i would say, "your meant to save them, now i know what u'v done wrong, you just copied and pasted the images right? well ue meant to creat a layer then insert the photo directly from the program ur using."

and then they're like, "ohhhhhhh"

i mean it's actually simple but i do think u need to be taught about this.

Web Page Maker is a good stand alone 'drag and drop' website maker that utilizes mostly html and some java.

You can download it here: http://www.webpage-maker.com/

I use to code everything from scratch and it took forever, this program speeds up the process so much and you really don't need to know any html at all. It's very helpful =P

Web design encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. The different areas of web design include web graphic design; interface design; authoring, including standardised code and proprietary software; user experience design; and search engine optimization. Watch this video :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjulZzIbnWA

This video has a step by step tutorial that is helpful .Often many individuals will work in teams covering different aspects of the design process, although some designers will cover them all. The term web design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end design of a website including writing mark up. Web design partially overlaps web engineering in the broader scope of web development. Web designers are expected to have an awareness of usability and if their role involves creating mark up then they are also expected to be up to date with web accessibility guidelines.

Yes, you can build it pretty easy and for cheap.

I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/

Powweb has the best offer right now. It's on a 50% sale - $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them. (like www.yourwebsite.com)

Their hosting plan includes web builder, so you can create your site just by drag and drop (without any programming), or you could install Wordpress (easy, one click install from their control panel), choose a theme that you like, and start adding content.

hmmm, they should be helping you, I think thru dreamweaver you should be able to connect thu the host, they should have given y ou the passwords so that you can upload your stuff. I'm taking dreamweaver as we speak, we upload our homework to ftp space and he gave us the appropriate passwords and he gave us the url for our space. Don't forget to synchronize, I alwa;ys forget that. I have not gotten a real site online yet, but I'm pretty sure you just have to put in that host info when you set up the managed site thingy.

if you ask to someone who knows about it, will tell you, "it is not difficult", but thinking better based on what you say, I think yes, will be difficult for you to make one.

You can go ahead and read some tutorials, first you need to get familiar with bunch of words with no vowels (HTML, CSS, XHTML,....) and by the time u make one, will be a very basic and simple one.

If you are not in hurry you can learn, nothing is difficult if you learn properly: http://www.w3schools.com

And if you need one done by profesionals:

Good luck!
