I installed a new "IDE" DVD-RW on my pc but it doesn't read any cd or dvd, it always shows empty folder !!?

hi all
i just bought and installed a new "IDE" (not sata) dvd-rw

but the problem is that when i insert a cd or dvd into it and then goto my computer and click on the cdrom drive it shows empty folders ...


i tried that same IDE DVD-RW into another pc and it worked perfectly

anyidea what could be wrong ?

If there's another drive on the same cable, and they're not set properly, one as master, one as slave, it won't work. (If you have a flipped cable, they have to be set as cable select.)
