Okay, I used to send "prank" mail to friends from spoofed emails through the built-in Windows Telnet Client. I used to do it on Windows XP but I upgraded. I enabled Telnet on Windows 7, and got every connected. Here's the code. ">"is user entered (ie. me) "*" is the reply.
>telnet smtp.comcast.net 25
*220 omta19.westchester.pa.mail.comcast.net comcast ESMTP server ready
>HELO xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
*omta19.westchester.pa.mail.comcast.net hello [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx], pleased to meet you
>MAIL FROM:admin@cjthedj.com
*250 2.1.0 sender ok
>RCPT TO:cjberry95@gmail.com
*250 2.1.5 recipient ok
>DATA
*354 enter mail, end with "." on a line by itself
>hello this is a test mail
>.
>
*250 2.0.0 M7aY1g00b3gCLRh3e7aqG9 mail accepted for delivery
>QUIT
*221 2.0.0 omta18.westchester.pa.mail.comcast.net comcast closing connection
I never get the email, I've tried several times. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?
Or if there is an alternate method.?

You do understand that you are creating a false email?

That used to be quite common. But more and more of the fancier services started double-checking the headers.

IF the sendmail you are connecting to did decide to allow the email to go out... then maybe your email service decided to spam-can it. If you have a "graymail" or "spamcan" or somewhere else that questionable mails go to then check in there to see if you did in fact get it

According to: "250 2.0.0 M7aY1g00b3gCLRh3e7aqG9 mail accepted for delivery", your mail should be delivered succesfully. It's not because of your Win7.

truly once you telnet in you try to logon to their guard server to get excellent of entry to it before any sort of real connection is setup. even if yahoo ought to provide help to get excellent of entry to depending off your yahoo account login is arguable, as leaving telnet get excellent of entry to to servers is many times a no-no for most guard networks. maximum servers have telnet's port 23 blocked by utilising default. So in reality (back to the unique question) its desiring you to provide a username and password for an acccount that has get excellent of entry to to the server.

You can do this using a regular email client....
