i have a table with one column and one row. the table width is 40% and the td is 40% width. sometimes it doesnt cover the whole 40% and stops when the text does. wat could be wrong?

The first 40% is of page width and the second 40% of table width. Without more column (preferably adding up to 100%) result is unpredictable
