I have an exam about all the techniqual areas of 3d Studio Max. Things like NURBS, Bezier Curves, Voxels etc.
I have some revision questions that im struggling with a bit. Just wondering if anyone could help?
QUESTIONS:
17. Why is analytical representation needed?
18. What are the differences between parametric and implicit representations? Give an example to show the differences.
19. In graphics modelling, we can use more than one cubic curves, and “blend” the curves together to achieve more complicated shapes. Within this framework, explain what are basis functions and what are control points
20. Discuss the properties of Bezier curves
21. Discuss the main limitation of Bezier curve when more than one Bezier curves are used to represent a very smooth curve (a curve that has tangential continuity)
22. What are knots and knot vector of a spline?
23. What does NURBS stand for? And what is a standard knot vector of NURBS?
