How can I click in two places with my mouse at the same moment?

I have a program I use to record audio with (Goldwave) and I usually record something on guitar or vocal or whatever and then I have to go back in and mix it with the vocals by zooming in and trying to find exactly where it would start...

A much easier way to do this would be to use a simple sort of program that would let me basically click "Play" on my previously recorded track and "Record" on my new one so that there would be no guess work involved, I would simply mix as is. This seems like such a simple program yet I have no idea if such a program actually exists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I guess whether or not this answer will help will depend on what operating system you're using. To answer the first question, no. A computer really cannot "multi-task"... what it's really doing is switching back and forth between different tasks so quickly that you can't tell it's doing so. And so, you really cannot click in two places "at once". However, you can program a macro that will do it for you so fast, it may as well be simultaneous.

If you're using Windows, have a look at an indispensable little utility called Macro Express. It will let you program mouse moves and clicks and key presses, and tie it all into either a hotkey or a pop-up menu in the system tray.

Thoroughly go through your software...you should be able to show both tracks at the same time where you can put 'bench marks' that allow you to index those points. Then the software will do the work of lining things up.

As for getting more than one click point out of your mouse, that's a 'No'. Your operating system works on the basis of 'events'. Each time you click that is one 'event', and the computer only handles one event at a time.

But I suppose someone could write a program that would link two programs together so that you pick two 'controls' to have active, and then a button you click to enact on those other controls.

Don't listen to me though...I'm just learning to be a software engineer .

Try the idea the other person mentioned about 'hot keys'. You might be able to set up a 'macro' that does more than one action by pressing a button instead.

Can you set one as a keyboard hot key? Does your program allow you to do that? Try searching hotkeys in your audio program's help tab.

I don't do this kind of stuff but hope this will surely help if you know in detail that how to do it.

Use flash and import your files in the flash layers, one on each they will play parallel. And you are done.

It is possible if you use auto clicker tool, click at one point, and then quickly move and click on the other point
