It is a space. When you press "Enter" you will see a kind of "P" and when u press "Space" the dot shows.

Look for a type of "P" in the tool bar or somewhere like that. It is usally at the top if not at the bottom.

It is making the space. You, or someone else has set word up to show "non-printable" characters. So a space is indicated by . the paragraph return is probably showing up as a character I can't create easily on this site, something like an upside down and backwards "L". If you type a series of paragraphs and the only "strange" character is the dot-marked space, then that is the only non-printable character being shown.

The non-printable characters setting is very good for helping with formatting - and I use it for my default setting with OpenOffice. Some people don't like it.

I don't use word, so I can't tell you how to turn it off, but if you look in the help menu, you can probably find "show nonprintable" and that should tell you how to run it off.

It has nothing to do with keyboard or language settings.

There's an icon on the toolbar that looks like a P - the "paragraph" symbol. The dots you see aren't actually there in the document - those are just spaces & the dots just show where the spaces are. When you disable that formatting/display option by clicking that P icon, they will disappear. That function exists so that you can easily see where spaces, carriage returns, tabs, and other "invisible" functions exist within the document.

You explained well enough. In the toolbar, there is an icon that looks like a really weird capital 'P'. Click that. Now it will stop.

What that tool does is show everything. These extras do not print, however.

In observe courses you've got a punctuation marker, like an capital 'IP' (suitable center of the gadget bar). otherwise your keyboard have been given moist and is now buggered - purchase a clean one. Peace.
