I really want to get minecraft but i cant because I don't have Java. I would go and download java right now but i'm scared to because a year ago when i first got this laptop i tried to download Java but it completely wrecked my laptop and we had to take it to my friends mum to get it sorted and she had to put it back to factory settings so i lost everything. I did download it from the official website java.com. At the time I had a free trial of McAfee internet security which came with the laptop. If i tried to download it again for my laptop and it wrecked it we wouldn't be able to take it to my friends mum because we aren't friends with her anymore so she wouldn't help us. What should I do?

The Java Runtime Environment is usually pretty safe to download and use on your computer, especially if you downloaded it from the official Oracle or Java website.

Perhaps there was some other factor or factors that caused your computer to not work properly after you downloaded the JRE the first time you did so, as it shouldn't cause problems, especially like the ones you described, when downloaded and installed.

If you'd like to download the Java Runtime Environment again, so that you can play MineCraft and use other applications and games that require the JRE, you can do so from the link below.

However, if you're worried that something may go wrong with your computer or that you may lose all of your files and programs upon downloading and installing Java, I would suggest that you back-up all of the data that you would like to save, in the event something does go wrong.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

You should always back up your personal files onto an external hard drive or USB flashdrive just in case your computer has a "melt down". Java is and always has been safe.

Hello,

If you click here on the link you can download for free Minecraft: http://bit.ly/1uSGBSt

it's completely free and it's very fast to install

Minecraft is quite an addictive game and if you cannot get enough of this application, then you can have a get sneak preview in this beta version. In this pre-release, the fundamentals of the game did not change at all.

Good Bye
