Question:
How to delete older web page after creating a newer one?

I had created a new web page to replace an older out of date web page (which I deleted), but any time I put in a search the old web page comes up. How do I get rid of this issue. I do not have the old file on my yahoo! website builder anymore either. The old site shows up as www.muskegoncd.org/White%20Lake%20PAC.htm when you do a search for white lake PAC. The new website is http://www.muskegoncd.org/whitelakepac which still shows up in a search but it is near the bottom and the old outdated one shows at the top of the search. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When updating a web page, you should retain the same page name and just upload and overwrite the old one. If it's a totally NEW page and must have a new name, but the old page is relevant, then you should use a redirect from old page to new one.

When you say search are you referring to Google/Bing/Yahoo etc? You will just have to wait until they update their databases which can take some time. I wrote some sites almost 10 years ago that were erased 9 years ago and search engines still return them. Updates to an existing website without changing the URL can take a week or two depending on several factors.

I created one last night, and I am having the same problem. The new one will show up on the home page, but if I go to categories, the old one shows up. I know I saved it . It is still doing it tonight . I went back to the avatar page , and the new one is showing !!! It is all messed up !!
