Question:
Godaddy is giving me the same problem. I have successfully installed a database but still getting errors.?

I seem to get these errors just with the script. Parse error: parse error, unexpected '{' on line 15.

The thing is I have the same script running on a Host Gator account, that registers, uploads photos and video. Godaddy sucks when it comes to hosting. It took me a while to find out how to even connect to the host using WSFTP.

I am using PHP 5 coding and I'm supposed to be connected to a MYSQL 5 db. I think the MSQL version is still in 4 even though they give you the option to use 5. If anyone has any solutions reply back soon. Thanks!

Dude switch over your web hosting company . godaddy is a little bit inexpensive but hostmonster webhosting is the best one since they offer unlimited Bandwidth and free domain with their webhosting package.I also like the fact that on every signup they give you free $100 credits to advertise your website with the google & yahoo search engines.

Godaddy and 1and1 are good places for registering domain names but not for web hosting services. Any bad web hosting service would trouble you for a long period. At first, try to choose a reliable service to get rid of the subsequent problems.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

They offer a Full-featured service only $6.95 a month. You can go there through the address below:

http://bluehost-plan.atspace.com

Here I have copied and pasted its features from their website to view:

- Free Domain Forever

- Unlimited Space

- Unlimited Transfer

- Host UNLIMITED Domains (Support All Domain Names)

- 2,500 POP/Imap Email Accounts

- SSH (Secure Shell), SSL, FTP, Stats

- CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP 5, MySQL

- 2000/2002 Front Page Extensions

- Free Site Builder

- 24/7 Superb/Responsive Sales/Support

- Free Search Engine Submission

******IMPORTANT*******

* This service was awarded “The Best Web Host OF 2008”.

* If you sign up for this service you will have $100 credits to advertise your website with the google & yahoo search engines for free!

Seems to me your PHP code has an unexpected opening brace on line 15. Have you checked it? I doubt this is Godaddy's fault, since many people use Godaddy, and it is probably the top rated host out there.

i would not say switched over fairly. yet one in all my appropriate friends and the guitarist for our band now did no longer comprehend lots in any respect approximately punk or pre-punk when I met him. He replaced right into a reasonably great steel head, nevertheless is to be honest, yet he had a tricky time appreciating issues that weren't as intricate and quickly and technical as Slayer or Megadeth or Sepaltura, yet with the aid of the years because of the fact that track is a great area of the two our lives we uncovered one yet another to our very own musical tastes. and because then he's rather found out that some nicely placed chords or an undemanding yet catchy progression is fairly worth all the skill contained in the international. besides the actuality that he nevertheless analyze up on each thing and is ridiculously good at guitar of any sort, the track he writes himself is only approximately continually a funky riff or progression and his CD sequence has a rather enormous punk element to it. And in tunr i've got taken a liking to a pair of his steel, besides the actuality that I nevertheless can no longer stand something with grotesque gruff vocals, like Sepultura or that form of element. I even have although taken a wierd liking to the CD Reign In Blood by Slayer, do no longer comprehend why.

Beware of these guys trying to sell you their hosting packages. Notice they don't even begin to try and answer your question. The problem is without seeing your broken code it is hard to diagnose. There is a parsing problem of course, so its a problem with your code and not your hosting.

If you post the code to http://php.pastebin.com/ perhaps we could look at it and give you a hand. Be sure and remove/replace anything like passwords , usernames etc from your code before posting it in a public place.

I would re-route the database and contact the server. Run the PHP 5 coding and re-route the entire nework. Also run the script using the msql server database.
