In the File menu there is "Save for Web & Devices" or ALT+CONTROL+SHIFT+S

In this menu you can save for various web formats, including PNG, just select it in the Presets box.

Hope this helped :)

If you are going to place the logo in Indesign documents you can keep it as an Illustrator file as you can place .ai files in Indesign. This will retain all your vector data. Otherwise save as an Illustrator.eps or Adobe.pdf file (File>Save as) to retain vectors; or export as a tif (File>Export). These can all be placed in a large number of programs and eps or pdf formats should retain all vector data so they can be enlarged without loss of quality. If you are forwarding the file to a printer to have your tshirts and other items made, ask them if they have Illustrator and if their version is compatible with yours - then you can forward the file as is rather than having to change format. This is likely to be their preferred option.
