How to install Netbeans 6.5 on Ubuntu?

I want to install Netbeans 6.5 PHP Editor on Ubuntu but I don't know how. I never use Linux before. I tried to find instructions on the net but there isl little ocumentation.I would appreciate if a Ubuntu user or Linux user could help me for that. Thanks

I just install the latest version right now on ubuntu coincidentally. All you have to do is go to the directory that you downloaded the program, which most likely is your desktop. Go to Applications-> Accessories -> Terminal. Then type in

cd ./Desktop

then:

sh ./netbeans-6.7-ml-php-linux.sh

and follow the directions after that

(i installed version 6.7 btw)
