how come a 14 year old can hack into a "sophisticated" website, why cant i do some hacking?

Hello, I am an 18 year old guy!, and uhh ive been into programming for the last dont know 6-8 months, im Still at a basic level, I was just wondering how can teenagers 14-17 Can hack into sophisticated security systems from a website, from when have they been into programming since 5?, I really just dont understand it.

You know maybe its because i have no talent for it, or I dont know but i would really want to do something big and awesome, not hacking some website but I dont know, I know it sounds silly I mean 8-7 months and still a beginner.

But anyways I guess my question would be: How do they do it?, are they geniuses?and if you could give me tips on learning to programming anything will be appreciated thanks!

There are very few 14 year old hackers. Most of them are skiddys. Basically "skids" are sniveling little kids who download tools off the internet and watch youtube tutorials on how to use a command line. Don't believe everything the media tells you. You don't have to be a professional killer to use a gun and commit murder and you don't have to be a hacker to "hack" and commit computer fraud.



Now, to be a hacker you need to be a programmer. It'll make sense once you have a good grasp of native and web languages. Master C++ and Java then learn AJAX (html + javascript) and finally learn PHP and SQL.



AND no, they aren't geniuses. Most of them are actually stupid kids trying to act immature and/or cheat in an online game. I'm dead serious about this too. Half of them don't touch code and the other half just copy-pastes pre-made code.



Also, it depends on how you define the word "hack". Look up "The Mentor's" manifesto and see if it changes your views. Real hackers are of a rare breed.

I'm not a hacker.... but im 13 and i 'hack' at school if theres a problem @ school. Im not those nerds who spend there life like on computer but the person who hacked psn has programs and has studied "weak" parts of the website or whatever.

They also needed to find certain times of site editing etc to know when to hack.



Im just guessing thi stuff though.

if i m rit they just follow do this and do that. They really arent programmers, but they make use of what they know to its core. Think of possibilities, usually happens by not giving up, which usually happens if you have nothing else to do. However, there is fun way to learn hacking not very serious one because that would require to become a complete nerd. Meaning learn 10 computer languages and become a expert in it. so whenever you see a damn opening in and infrastructure of how a software or system works you could point it right out.

First, what you're describing is known as cracking, not hacking, and it's totally illegal.

Second, crackers are usually good at it because it's what they focus on doing.

Third, there is something known as ethical hacking which uses all the techniques of cracking but for the right reasons. Google search 'penetration testers' or 'ethical hacking' to find sites which offer tutorials and programmes. Bear in mind these should only be used for ethical reasons.
