Check out the link below and be learned. Warning: The National Security Agency (NSA) and other authorities monitor who visits Tor's download site and especially those who download the Tor Browser. Articles have been written about this. Of course, many, many folks have been downloading Tor regardless. Tor is not as anonymous as most folks think. World authorities who track terrorism, weapons dealers, and illegal content like underage material try very hard to catch users on the Tor network. Software failure and human error are the two biggest reasons why people end up under investigation for their online activity. Again, only you have to answer for your actions if you get caught doing illegal activity online. There are many You Tube videos that introduce you to the Deep Web and Dark Net, the do's and don'ts, and the ugliness that exists in that part of the web. Check them all out.

You've been warned! You can never say no one told you to stay away, because I'm telling you to stay away! You don't need to go there. There's so much to see without having to go the Deep Web and Dark Net. Curiosity can and will get the best of you. Remember that when images and video end up on your computer. Windows has a high failure rate, and many, many folks don't realize that images, videos, and links can get saved without you knowing deep in your computer's Registry. Windows loves to hide things. Remember too...how well do you know your friends and online contacts? If you exchange material from the Deep Web or Dark Net, your computer becomes a storage device. Too many folks forget they're using Tor, and accidentally save illegal material on their hard drives or flash drives. Then someone else finds the material. If it sounds like I'm trying to make you paranoid...I am! Good luck and happy curiosity.

"The Dark Web" is not some weird version of the internet where criminal masterminds all know each other and share their evil plots to destroy capitalism, like the media might have you believe. It just means locations which cannot be detected by search engines. In reality, the term refers to hundreds of thousands of little "dark spots" where Google spiders can't get past a password-protected blockade to find out what's inside. They usually don't have a web domain (i.e. www.zzzzzzz.com) and you have to access them by typing in an IP address in your URI bar.

It's feared for the same reasons that dark alleys next to a trash compacter are feared. The only way to get access is to know someone who can give it to you, so the governments have to work undercover just to get access, and behind those barriers people can say or do anything with abandon. Organizations like Anonymous maintain these, as well as groups like ISIL and NAMBLA. Some Dark Web places are good. Some are evil. It depends on who is running what.

People on that side of the web want to be anoymous, and it's a good thing they are.

Search for something like "tor browser" if you need access, but that part of the web does not have search engines or the like. You usually need an inivitation.

no and it is 'feared' because of non-tech people spreading rumors...

dark web is mostly a bunch of spreadsheets and documents... it's just a part of the web that's hardly or is not accessed by search engines... that's it.

sorry but your childporn, hitman for hire, are a few and far between.. most are fake anyway..

Download Tor, but it you want to venture out there, be EXTREMELY careful. Any unknown link can take you a kiddie porn site and once you're on it, you can get caught, even if you don't download anything. Apart from that, you're fine, just don't buy anything, login into any sites using personal info. Not safe.
