OK, should you REALLY desire to layout and create your possess internet site from scratch and you've got very little programming revel in, then utilising WYSIGYG application is your high-quality guess. If you have already got entry to FrontPage, that's a well one, however there are a few on-line choices to be had, despite the fact that they commonly come tied in with website hosting. Decide on how so much you desire to pay, uncover your area identify and purchase it, uncover in which you desire to host your web page. You can uncover many choices in which the website hosting is unfastened as much as a highest measurement - seek Google or identical for this. Then choose whether or not you desire a professionally designed internet site or now not, for this you'll be able to both uncover a able pal who will do it unfastened/affordably, a Computer measure scholar who demands the train, a internet clothier/developer who may not be low-cost however no less than you'll get a tight web page. A respectable webdesigner will probably be equipped to propose you at the high-quality option to achive YOUR specifications on your finances and what is extra, furnish a upkeep and replace carrier as good. Otherwise, get your self a couple of well books and gain knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS and should you desire a database in the back of the web page a CGI language, this will probably be found through your host server, relating to Windows whatever like ASP with both an Access or SQLServer database, relating to Unix or Linux, whatever like Perl, PHP or C with a MySQL database will do the process. Hope this is helping!

Micaela,

You dont have to be technologically advanced. Im not and i started my site a few months ago and i get 400 hits a day.

There is free vs pay. You really should go for a pay host. Free site hosting is usually very limited and there are restrictions that will get in your way. The host i left below is great and the cost for everything is....

3.88 a month. Next to nothing.

For this you get everything you need, regardless of how big your site becomes. You get free apps, unlimited everything, your own domain name etc.

An important thing you get is simple support every step of the way. You dont want to be jumping all over the net looking for answers. With this host you can get your site up today. Its not much harder than setting up a myspace page.

The most important thing is to get started. Once you start you will probably get excited and accomplish a lot quickly. Its very easy, after all, I did it.

anyways before startin to build yer own website I'd recommend u to study a little bit about HTML, at least the basics, that would be useful since u get to understand what's happening to yer pages while you're editing them. Here's a handy source for that:

hope it helps^^

Why don't you just sign up for a http://www.Wordpress.com account. Everything is already set up and ready to go and takes almost no tech know-how. With a little reading and practice you'll be able to tweak it to fit your needs.
