but I'm very motivated and i'm been programming or reading about programming almost every day for about 2 and half months now. Can anyone recommend me good books (beginner/intermediate) to help me in my journey. I don't really care for the programming language but i do know a bit of C/C++... Also do you think i have a bit of a disadvantage for starting programming at 22? When did you start programming?

There is no disadvantage, a teenager may have tried and given up, anyone can program regardless of their age. It's about logic and determination, not age. :)

I recommend these sites:

cprogramming.com

w3schools.com (this is web design)

howtogeek.com (for geeks, by geeks)

hackthissite.org (this site has challenges to test ones self, if they are interested)

Books:

C++ For Dummies

Usually books contain more information than webpages.

Various pieces of information is likely to be found via various Google searches as well.

Most people do not start programming in their teens, and in any case, age is totally irrelevant.

C/C++ is the most widely used language on most computers nowadays.
