MS Word doesn't read PDF files. Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) does.

Hope that helps.

If the PDF is read only, it is not an editable document. It is just a "picture" of the document. A conversion software would have to be used to recreate it in Word. The full version of Adobe Acrobat will allow you to convert the PDF to a text file (or similar file), import that into Word and then you could format and edit the text. If you have only the Adobe Reader installed, you can't convert it.

You can't Try downloading Foxit Reader, it's free and can let you view PDFs. You can also try Acrobat but people like to exploit the program so it's not very safe.
